ANNAPOLIS, MD (Saturday, January 22, 2011) Though the score was closer than the game play itself, Navy held on to defeat a pesky Georgetown Hoya team by a score of 3-2.

For the second game in a row, assistant captain Steven Csutoros and his line of Doug Dietrich and Jim Tumolo got things going for Navy. Csutoros scored with just over eight minutes left to go in the first from Dietrich and Tumolo, beating the Georgetown goalie high to his glove side. Freshman Cameron Harrigan picked up a goal on a power play with just over two minutes remaining in the first to put the Mids up by two going into the intermission. Harrigan's goal came unassisted as he cut to the middle of the high slot on a rush and fooled the Georgetown goalie with a low wrist shot to the sort side. Jim Tumolo scored for the second night in a row on what would be the game winner late in the second period. The powerplay goal was assisted by Tommy Reed and Conor Kearney.

Though not heavily tested, Navy's goaltender, Andrew Mills, came through big when it really counted, making several key saves late in the game. Mills was facing a 6 on 5 Hoya attack for the last minute and a half of the game and Georgetown put several good shots on net. However, Mills stood tall and protected the small Navy lead. As always, Navy's consistent goaltending proved to be invaluable in the win.

Now 16-8-1 overall, the Mids look to add to their two game win streak as they take on Lebanon Valley College in Hershey, PA on Friday, January 28, at 7:00 PM.
