PHILADELPHIA, PA (Friday, Dec. 11, 2009) - Senior forward Calen Mims scored a pair of goals and sophomore netminder Jameson Marshall made 18 saves to lead Navy's ice hockey team to a 5-1 win over Temple Friday night at the Flyers Skate Zone.

PHILADELPHIA, PA (Friday, Dec. 11, 2009) - Senior forward Calen Mims scored a pair of goals and sophomore netminder Jameson Marshall made 18 saves to lead Navy's ice hockey team to a 5-1 win over Temple Friday night at the Flyers Skate Zone.
 
With the victory, the Midshipmen improved their record to 7-13-2.
 
Sophomore Kevin Frederick's power play goal at 9:31 of the first period gave Navy a 1-0 lead, and the Mids stretched their advantage to 3-0 with a pair of second period tallies from senior Andrew Ochalek and Mims.  It was Ochalek's first career goal.
 
Mims scored again just 31 seconds into the third period to put Navy up 4-0, and sophomore Mitch Pulver tallied on a 4-4 at 8:20 to give the Mids a 5-0 lead.  Temple finally got on the scoreboard with 4:52 left in the game to complete the scoring.
 
Navy is now idle until after the new year.  The Mids will host Drexel on Friday, Jan. 8.
